Ven Test [Luna]

on Sat Feb 03, 2018 4:49 pm
She'd sigh, gently kicking her sandals off as she stepped on the sandy beach. It was a beautiful morning, crisp with a relaxing wind coming in from the north. Ven was still quite confused as to how these bio domes worked... But she supposed it was worth her while regardless.

There were many herbs and plant life from her world found living in these domes. She had to spend a lot of time searching for the right ones though... It was always a struggle... But she had spotted some native fauna from her world around this beach and so... She hoped to find something for her son.

She'd let out a quiet sigh, walking towards the water with a little smile. It was time to be positive about this! No more negative thoughts. And so she'd wade into the water, bending down to sift through the sand with her hands. It had to be here...

Deep under the ocean, a light red scaled creature would be swimming aimlessly around, feeling a little bored for one reason or another. It was strange, usually she loved to explore the ocean depth. Though today, she just felt like something a little different, maybe something out in the sun? Though what to do, what to do. That was the difficult question to process.

Deciding that she'd figure it out as she went, Luna would ensure that her water pouch was filled before leaping her way out from the waves quite some distance into the sky, unfurling her small wings to allow her to slowly glide downwards and topple playfully onto the beach. The small dragon would seemingly do a forward roll before landing on her back, outstretching her limbs and staring up at the sun contemplating what to do before holding her hands up over her eyes to block out some of the incoming rays of sun.

"Bwpha! Wai's some days so boresom."

It was quite startling at first, seeing a ball of shining red launch out of the water. Ven had never seen an animal like that before, but with a squint Ven would be able to see that the ball didn't look like a threat at first. Honestly, it was quite cute. She didn't have much thought about what it was though.

She'd watch it slowly glide down to the sandy shore and lay down. A grin would cross her face as she saw the creature from a distance. She wouldn't move towards it though, no. It was a bit too risky to just confront a wild animal just like that.

So, with a whimsical smile of what could be, she'd move farther into the wading water. Her hands brushing sand by in search of the plant she was looking for. Maybe even a shellfish? Or a snail... Something used for her medicine...

Thrashing her tail back and forth in the sand whilst nothing of interest came to mind, Luna would unknowingly start amassing a increasingly growing mound of sand of her left from how her tail was brushing it. The dragon would continue to cover her eyes as she store upwards, completely and utterly unaware that someone she wasn't aware of herself had just spotted her and watched her actions briefly. Not that is mattered much even if she did know it was happening.

"Bwpha!!"

The small reddish dragon would suddenly shout rather aggressively at herself as she slammed her hands onto the sand beside her before shoving herself up into a seated position. It was at this moment that her tail would bash into the side of the rather large mound of sand she had gathered as it tried to whip round behind her. "Waz thiz?" Luna would say to herself as she stared at the mound for a moment as if she was confused, which she kinda was but was also thinking if she could do anything with this strange mound that'd be interesting. Quite suddenly she'd flap her wings and shove of the ground with her hands to be back on her feet, circling the pile of sand two or three times before beginning to shoot small amounts of water at it. Digging her claws into it every so often as she went, carving some parts deeper into the mound whilst using the wet water she was expelling to build up certain parts even higher. This continued for some time until a strange looking tower seemed to form in the middle, surrounded entirely by a large ditch aside from one narrow passageway to the sandy tower.

Tilting her head to look at what she'd made, the great dragon would grumble to herself. Something was missing, but what? Hmm... "Bwmmm... Oh! I haz a kool idea!" She'd again say out loud to seemingly no one before scrunching up her face a little as steam began to escape her nostrils. A few moments later she would fire out a large amount of piping hot water to fill the trenches around her tower, the steam from the hot water giving the whole construction a quite ominous look. "Aha! Now the boilingz hot lava will protect my tower!"

"Ah hah! Found you!" she'd explain, standing up and holding in her hands a mash of wiry sea plants. They were covered in sand, and looked repulsive in just about every way. But, this plant was packed with so many vitamins... And the mineral count it had growing in the sands of the ocean was astounding. It was quite literally exactly what she needed.

With a content smile, she'd gently place the plant into her purse, not minding the fact it'd most likely dampen everything in there. Well, she could've put it in a bag but she noticed the sand castle the red ball of scales had created. Oh, was it intelligent? It had to be, no? Well, she still didn't know how to approach the creature... It seemed to be having fun, so she might watch from the distance she was at before leaving.

What an intimidating tower... Hm...

Proudly, Luna would stand over her sand tower for a few moments, a smug smirk on her face from her handiwork. Even if the boiling water was making the foundations of the tower droop a little, it was still good enough. Though, it was only after she noticed the drooping that she noticed something else was missing. There was that thing she'd always find stuck in the smaller puny castles she'd seen people make out of sand, though she couldn't quite remember what... Didn't some of those sunken shipwrecks she explored have them too? Flags! That was what was missing.

Standing on her tiptoes, the scaled beast would scan the area around her for anything that could be used to complete her magnificent build, that was until she noticed some small shells and a feather lying together some ways across the beach. Without much consideration to it, the dragon would begin her slight dash towards these objects her whole focus locked to them as she gathered them up into her hands. "Perfectz." She'd say as she looked up to notice the fact her scavenge had placed her quite close to one of those wardians who seemed to be watching her. Huh. How long had she been there? Why was she staring like that! It's rude to stare. Though... Hmm... "Yez! A damsel in distrez!" Luna would exclaim, making a sudden movement to grab the wardians hand with her own. "Come damsel!" She'd continue as she began forcefully pulling her new 'damsel' back towards her sand tower. "The Great Dragon will keepz you safe in her tower!"

It was a truly fascinating creature to witness. How it swooped here and there, it's ability to fly was truly magnificent. That and the style it had with its tail... Truly an interesting event to witness. She'd happily smile, about to walk away before she was addressed. It took her off guard, a somewhat confused look on her face as she was caught and pulled towards the menacing sand castle. It was bemusing, to say the least. But she wasn't really going to deny it what it wanted... Oh, it spoke as well... How easy she was to not even notice that. Was it a child? Hmm...

"Ah, so you are to be my guardian? How truly spectacular!" she'd say with a warm smile, following the dragon to her tower. She wouldn't really say much, not really sure how to play correctly or... What to really do. She did hope she wouldn't be asked to shrink down and enter the castle... Unfortunately, that was something she couldn't do.

Luna would continue to drag the wardian over towards the tower before almost shoving her over to indicate she wanted the 'damsel' to sit down. From this range, the heat of the water that surrounded the sand castle was quite noteworthy and would most definitely scald their skin if they happened to touch it for whatever reason. Regardless, the light red scaled beast would smirk happily to herself as she placed the pair of shells she'd picked up into the side of the tower acting as small windows before sticking the pointy end of the feather into the top to act as her fortresses mighty flag.

"Yez." The dragon would finally reply to the wardians question once she was done with her tower improvements. "Great Dragon will guardz you at her tower, keep you prisoner so no royal knightz can save you! Aha!" She'd exclaim, pounding her chest with her arm as she finished to add to her intimidation of her new 'prisoner'. This was fun, she didn't expect something like this to be fun. Though she was having fun, which was way better than being bored like before. So for now, she'd stand on her tiptoes again and scour the area with her eyes to watch out for any potential victims of her wrath if they dared try save the damsel. "You kall out for help, then a knightz will come to try and save you, then Great Dragon will defeat puny knightz~!"

Ah, so she was to be the damsel in distress? Alright, she could play along for the time being. Though, the scalding water surrounding the tower was quite worrisome. Did the small dragon create it? Perhaps she boiled it with fire or through some other means? She really didn't know, but she supposed it was alright in the end. As long as she didn't touch it, that is... Though, even if she hurt herself she had brought burn medication with her. No worries.

"Aaah, so I am the princess trapped by the treacherous dragon? Alright, I'll be a good prisoner then, no point in fighting against such a mighty dragon." she'd say with a bemused smile. Really, she hadn't played with a child in so long. when was the last time she did something like this? Her son wasn't very active, and even if he was, he was much too old for games like this. When would he be able to even walk on the sandy shore like this...?

"Ah, so a duel for my hand then? What an honorable dragon you are! Well then, I shall do my best." she'd say with a somewhat princessy tone to her voice. Whatever that was supposed to sound like... Regardless, she'd clear her throat dramatically before calling out for a knight to come save her. "Oh, someone please, save me from the fearsome dragon of the tower! Only a true warrior, pure of heart could even dream of facing the great tower dragon!" she'd say with a happy smile, trying her best to not laugh or giggle. This was entirely too much fun.

Heh... Maybe this was a good thing after all...

"Mhmph!" Luna would let out a small pleased sound as the wardian refered to her as a 'mighty dragon'. Anything that filled her own self ego made her happy, it was always good to see a mortal that understood the greatness she held instead of trying to act all tough and powerful themselves. Plus in general it was refreshing to have someone just painlessly go through with what she wanted them to do instead of being all fussy. Made the whole experience way more fun and entertaining! She had a proper damsel in distress locked up, kinda. Now all they had to do was wait for someone to come and try and save her so she could defend her prize!

"Of coursez! Dragonz are very honourable, we are the ancient, immortal protectorz of the universe after all!" The small scaled creature would continue in an elegant if not slightly boastful tone. She'd even smirk and boil the water left inside of her lightly to cause a small amount of steam to escape her nostrils to make her look more intimidating and impressive. "Aha! Kall out for your puny knight! No matter who comez they will not defeat me though, so a damsel you shall stay!" Well, at least for as long as she was being entertained by this admittedly silly game, though even silly things could be fun on occasion. Dragging her tail around in the sand, she' raise it up to be pointing over her shoulder as she took a sort of defensive stance as if properly battle ready for any 'knight' that may turn up from her damsels calls.

Her youthful antics were truly invigorating to witness. It was just fun to be here watching her play. To be alongside in the game was really nice as well. Who would have guessed this would be a slightly more exciting day that initially thought... Though, the idea of her son one day being able to do this again... It made her sad and hopeful... She hoped he was alright... Her neighbors knew to call her if he had gotten out of bed or if they thought his condition was worsening. Thankfully she was surrounded by older, nice people where she lived.

"Ah, I see... Then why is it you're protecting me? Surely the universe is more important than a mere damsel." she'd ask with a look of curiosity across her face. She was inquisitive about this... Part of her didn't know if the dragon child actually believed this or if it was part of the game but... Something about it made her believe it was the former. She wondered if the dragon child had great dragon parents! Oh, goodness... They must be huge... How would one give something that big a shot...? Hmmm...

"Ah, shall I call again? It doesn't seem like one has showed up." she'd ask, clearing her throat just in case.

"Pha! Of course it iz!" Luna would scoff and roll her eyes as if she'd just heard the most outrageous thing she'd heard all week. "Protecting you isn't for you, iz for me. Kause if you're trapped, people'll come to rescue you then I get to fightz them. Doesn't matter to me what happenz to you after that!" The dragon would grin a sharp, canine ridden grin towards her damsel. And honestly, she thought this wardian was one who actually understood the principles of where they stood in the world. Seems even though with more knowledge are still confused on some fronts. Shame really, made them much more annoying to deal with most of the time. Oh well.

Becoming bored of waiting around for someone to show up, Luna would of began unconsciously drawing random lines with the tip of her tail in the surrounding sand. Seemingly being a rough depiction of some form of tower with her standing outside of it, some random giant guy with armour appearing and then mad scribblings coming from the drawing of her own mouth towards the knight until the picture of the knight was no longer there and lost back to the dunes of the sand. "Bwpha!" She'd suddenly call out annoyed that no one had turned up yet. "Someone better come savez this damsel or iz gonna lock her up forever!" The clearly agitated dragon would shout at the top of her lungs to the surrounding beach just as another small yet turquoise creature would jump up onto a rock from behind.
"You otter let her go! Devilish dragon!"

O-Ouch... Well, her honesty was just as refreshing as her youth? Something like that... Well, she wondered what sort of parents she had to think so highly of herself? Perhaps it was part of a phase? She remembered children on her home world would sometimes become rebellious... Nothing too dangerous, mind, but some would partake in medicine that was not intended for them and gain euphoria from it. A very wasteful act but it was nothing like what happened to the greater good of her world...

"Forgive me! I speak out of place. I was simply confused, thank you for devoting such time to inform me of my place." goodness... This game was becoming somewhat self deprecating. She did that enough on her own time... Now she had to lower herself for a child? Aaah, well, it was for the dragon, not her. She couldn't imagine have done this with anyone else... She hadn't played with a child since...

"G-Goodness! It seems we have a knight after all! Ahem... Ah, valiant knight, pure of heart! Please, rescue me from the great dragon of the tower!" she'd say in her princessy tone again. Though, she was somewhat frightened... It would have been bad if she suddenly threw a temper tantrum. She seemed capable enough to cause harm, at the least... And while she didn't want to be cautious or nervous around the child, a part of her told her to be wary regardless of the child's cute looks.
